GRAPHIC DESIGNER, ART DIRECTOR, ANIMATOR AND ILLUSTRATOR
ABOUT ME
My name is Robin Volbeda, from a young age I've been interested in drawing, design and color! Growing up with a dad as graphic designer I quickly got my hands on Photoshop, and started drawing more in the digital space.
Skip to high school; I could not wait to design my essays and found my passion. After that the decision was easy; I went to a Graphic design college and started learning all the things I’ve always wanted to create.
Soon before I graduated I started working as a Graphic designer, Illustrator and animator at a media agency for about 5 years, one of the biggest clients include Essilor. In the meantime I wanted to expand my skills and went to art school, and taught myself after effects and I build websites for the agency and other clients as well as still doing brand identities, managing the stock site and photo editing.
I have among many other things, professional design experience with:
publication and editorial marketing and advertising • visual and brand identity • UI/UX • web design • motion graphics • illustration • wordpress • color theory • typography • client communication • blender basics • art direction • photo editing • print publication • digital publication (e.a. social media) • photography
More examples of those skills will soon be added to the portfolio section of this site soon.

What is Mitsumeru?
In case you wonder, why my alias is Mitsumeru; it’s Japanese for looking at something lovingly, or with passion. Which I think is the perfect word for how I view the world, I love to see good design, it makes me happy, and I want to contribute to make people fall in love with what they see, and happy with the designs that reflect them. Japanese design styles were a big influence and inspiration when I was a child and I still find inspiration in it daily.
